James Davis 21, Dayton Negro, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of Oliver Ford 21, Lancaster colored. Davis admitted striking Ford with a poker on March 3 at Camp Logan CCC station and was bound over to the grand jury on $2,000 bond. Mrs. Catherine Dean aged 99 died at her daughter Bella Hyson’s home 140 Warner Ave at 3 05 this afternoon after a period of bedfast illness. Second Victim Dies in Cincinnati Explosion
Edward Wolf, 31, died in a hospital as the second casualty of a blast that wrecked the Wolf home. Police say his father August, 80, had planned to end his life by gas inhalation. Anna Wolf and Charles Meyers, 67, were also drawn into the disaster which followed Edward’s report that he accidentally ignited the gas after finding his father unconscious.
