Portable classroom for 50 first graders moved to West Elementary and will host half day sessions from 9 a.m. to 1 30 p.m. Monday through Thursday starting Monday with full time planned for Sept 20.
Logan Hocking County Library trustees will seek guidance from county commissioners on applying for a federal grant to build a new library. At last night’s meeting they reviewed letters from state and federal officials including the Ohio Library Board and the Economic Development Administration. The library may be funded from its building fund totaling 71 156 33 dollars, while the county complex proposal awaits funding.
A mother volunteer training session is set for Thursday morning in the West Elementary gymnasium to prepare volunteers to assist with kindergarten testing across Logan School District. Coffee and doughnuts start at 9, with training at 9:30. four West Elementary volunteers recently trained assist staff.
