Chieftain Boosters Radiothon Raises 1649 for LHS Athletics

The 3 hour radiothon on WLGN raised 1649 to aid Logan High School athletics. Logan Band Boosters gave 1000 dollars while 47 pledges came in and 12 speakers including LHS coaches joined the broadcast. New bleachers for the visitors side were installed by over 30 volunteers and should be ready for tonight's game.

Grand Jury Meet Set

The Hocking County grand jury will meet Monday to consider at least 19 cases with more than 40 witnesses subpoenaed. Government says wholesale prices rose faster under Nixon controls

Government officials said today wholesale prices increased more in the first year of the Nixon wage price program than the prior year. They blamed the rise on accelerated price jumps for farm products, some of which were exempt from controls.
