Mother left newborn with starving dog. baby dies
In Spanish Harlem, Joanne Bashold, 24, left her five day old daughter Carla with a four month old German Shepherd while she went out for money to buy food. The baby was found dead, partially eaten. Bashold was jailed and charged with negligent homicide. the dog was destroyed for exam of stomach contents.
