Two Men Held To Jury For Tractor Theft
In Hocking County Court this morning two men faced grand larceny charges for a tractor theft dated April 30. Larry Moore 18 of Logan and Dwaine Bowers 21 of Bremen pleaded not guilty and were held to the grand jury under $300 bond. Moore released on bond while Bowers jailed for failure to post. The sheriff linked the arrests to a series of farm equipment thefts across four counties and said a third suspect may be arrested today. The case cites the Lowell Ruff farm theft on Bowland Derr Road in Hocking County.

Officials of striking Local 744 United Rubber Workers and the Logan plant of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co agreed not to meet Thursday and will reconvene Monday after reviewing positions.
