Hocking Motorist Killed In Crash On Goose Creek Rd
Leslie R. Hartshorn age 32 of South Bloomingville Rt. 1 died in a two car crash on Goose Creek Road 3.3 miles south of Route 56 at 4 05 p.m. Wednesday. The southbound car left of center and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Marcella A. Davis age 18. Hartshorn died of a broken neck and internal injuries. Davis suffered leg and arm abrasions and a bumped head. Both cars were heavily damaged. Hartshorn was a timber cutter and logger survived by wife Edith Alberta and six children. Funeral set for Mt Olive United Methodist Church with burial at Heinlein Cemetery. Patrol also cited John Rackstetter 17 for speeds on Route 33 and investigated another crash on Route 33 involving Dorothy J. Smith 47.
