State to Resurface Section of Route 33
The state highway department plans bids to resurface 4.5 miles of Route 33 south of Haydenville with asphaltic concrete from Nelsonville into Hocking County, 2.3 miles long. Bid deadline is 10 A.M. June 19 with completion by October 31. Brewer & Brewer Sons, Inc., Chillicothe, won the Route 327 road maintenance bid at 14,242 dollars. Route 327 runs through Hocking County in two places, with 17 miles of highway to repair in Ross and Hocking counties.

Nelsonville Ohio May 31 Sheriff George Bateman said lie detector results taken Sunday by Elmer Kesterson 46 showed discrepancies. No charges filed. Mrs Ora Kesterson 45 was found bruised in a field near their home a week earlier, a quarter mile from Connett four miles south of Nelsonville. Kesterson took the test in Columbus.
