Logan High School to graduate 282 seniors Sunday

Two hundred eighty two Logan High School seniors are slated to receive diplomas in combined baccalaureate and commencement exercises at 7 30 p m Sunday. The venue is the LHS stadium weather permitting with auditorium fallback if needed. A list of graduates follows with numerous names.

Annual LHS Alumni Meet and Dance Planned Saturday

Logan High School Alumni Association schedules a 1 p.m. business meeting in the Hilltop cafeteria with 10 plus class reunions, an alumni dance from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Logan Armory, $6 per couple tickets, food and drinks, first come seating. Officers for 1975 announced. 50-year class of 1925 to receive pins.

Experts Admit Recession To Be Worse Than Forecast

Washington AP The Ford administration said unemployment and the recession will be worse this year than earlier estimates but a stronger recovery is expected next year. It projects an 8.7 percent jobless rate for the year, about 7.8 million unemployed, with a 3.6 percent GDP decline and a 6.3 percent growth rebound in 1976.

Excess Baggage In School Bill Sparks Senate Fight

A Republican on the Ohio equal yield aid panel warns colleagues to trim what he calls excess baggage from the Senate approved school bill. Rep. Ben Rose cites two thirds attendance rules and other changes pushed by the Ohio Education Association, while critics say attendance criteria may encourage strikes and finances to balance by makeups rather than pay loss.
