Area Recreational Facilities Ready To Open Memorial Day
Area pools and beaches in Hocking Valley prepare to open for summer. Logan city pool opens 1 p.m. Friday with weekend hours and a Sunday closure for baccalaureate services. Lake Logan Beach opens 10 a.m. Friday with lifeguards daily through the season. Nelsonville pool also opens Friday and runs seven days a week with evening hours during school break. Season tickets vary by family and age, and several local groups helped repaint and spruce facilities. Memorial Day services and parades are set in Logan, Worthington Park, Nelsonville, and at Lake Hope Blvd. veteran rites scheduled at local cemeteries and river bridge memorials.
