City and County Schools End Friday For 4,600 Pupils
In Hocking County over 4,600 pupils will have classes end Friday with final grade cards distributed. City schools finished early with 1,720 students dismissed at 1 30 pm and to report for cards at 2 pm. County schools had a half day for 2,779 students and will issue cards Friday. St John’s Catholic School in Logan has 133 pupils with final classes Friday and reports cards in June.

Mary Margaret Landis 29 and Staff Sgt Robert L Benett 26 were arrested in Columbus and charged with first degree murder in the strangulation of Patrick Landis 74 a retired Zanesville furniture dealer found dead May 19 in his gas filled cottage. They face arraignment in Munici pal Court.
