Bright vistas for the economic future of southeastern Ohio were opened Saturday with dedication of the Lake Hope dining lodge and cabin area. The project drew state forestry officials, local leaders, and hundreds of Ohioans who witnessed the completion of this 700 acre park resort within the Zaleski state forest.

City pool ready for season opening on Memorial Day with repairs completed and leaks fixed. Wayne Denny, pool manager, announced advance season ticket sales Tuesday from 10 A M to 12 noon and 1 to 3 P M at the pool. Public use begins Wednesday at 1 P M if weather agrees. Adult season tickets 5 dollars, children 4 dollars, family 15 dollars. single admissions 35 and 25 cents.
