During night riots around three Goodyear Tire plants in Akron Ohio at least 60 people including women and policemen were injured after a United Rubber Workers strike led to a picket line. Violence erupted at the main gate of Goodyear plant No 1 after the midnight shift change with police using tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Rock Struck Man in Quarry Blast Near Logan
