Freak Crash Claims Man's Life On Ohio 56
Leonard F Hardman 33 of Circleville was killed in a head on crash on Ohio 56 at Happy Hollow Rd when a tractor trailer's loose trailer struck his station wagon. The driver Robert Hart 42 of Circleville fled the scene but later stopped. Hardman was an assistant pastor and contractor. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at Laurelville Church of God with burial at Green Summit Cemetery Adelphi.

Kevin Gable of Logan High School placed second in the state in the senior social studies test at Ohio University. He ranked in the top one percent among 1,198 students, and led Logan High in Division I. Other LHS students earned certificates in various subjects as district rankings announced. The 8th annual Moonshine Festival in New Straitsville runs four days with 10 to 15 arts and crafts booths, food stalls, a larger midway, and free entertainment. Logan High Alumni Set Saturday Reunions and Dance
Eight class reunions accompany the LHS Alumni Association meeting and dance. The business session starts at 2 p.m. in the Hilltop cafeteria with a 1:30 gathering, and the Alumni Dance runs 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Logan Armory with the Logan High School Dance Band led by Al Horsky.
