Memorial Plaque to Honor Hocking County War Veterans
A bronze plaque honoring Hocking County men and women who served in both world wars will be dedicated at Worthington Park Monday morning during Memorial Day ceremonies. The Kiwanis Club of Logan gives the plaque, mounted on a two ton native stone set in concrete on Main Street side of the park, with an anti aircraft gun and two 50 caliber machine guns nearby, and a Civil War monument overlooking. Logan veterans groups cooperate with Kiwanis in the dedication. The stone is a glacial relic from Perry Township near Laurelville and is intended to endure for a million years.

Boy Wounded by Accidental Shot in Lancaster

OSU Student Charged in Raidiger Death at OSU
Donn Allen Schucker a 20 year old Ohio State University student was charged with second degree manslaughter in the traffic death of fellow student Robert Lee Raidiger a 21 year old OSU basketball star. Raidiger was killed Saturday night when struck by Schucker s car as he pushed a stalled vehicle southeast of Columbus while returning from a fraternity outing. Abbott charged Schucker with drunk driving as well.
