Lay 50 Deaths To Black Legion Extradition Hearing Sought

Man Clings 24 Hours To Capsized Sailboat
DETROIT May 25 AP Elmer Reagin 28 clung to an overturned sailboat for 24 hours in Lake St Clair while four companions drowned three miles from the Canadian shore. He was rescued Sunday evening partly conscious after an Army Air Corps flyer spotted him. He had tied himself to the hull with Barlow 24 the boat owner whom he tried to save by binding to the boat. Other victims were Clarence McLeod 27 Woll 33 and Philip Drinkus delirious sank during the night. Reagin recalled losing consciousness Sunday morning about 9 o'clock as Wolf and Barlow remained near. Again someone pulled him into a boat.
