Unemployed Miners To Get Work On Highway Improvement Project

State Highway Director John Jaster approved a 10000 special appropriation to hire 400 Murray City and 128 Coonville miners for Route 278 improvements in Hocking and Athens counties. The plan funds ditching, widening, and crushed limestone paving over 17 miles from Pattonville to the Vinton County line with crews of single and family heads two days weekly, six days a week.
