Death Claims Nelsonville's Dr J L Webb
Nelsonville physician Dr J L Webb died Monday in Athens after a four month illness. He retired from practice in 1975 after more than five decades serving the Hocking Valley. Webb delivered over 5000 babies and held multiple hospital roles including chief of ob stetrics. He was active in medical societies, clubs, and the First Christian Church. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Sweazy Webb, two sons, four grandchildren, and a sister. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home with burial in Carbon Hill Cemetery.
