Western Europe voiced anger and resolve after the Paris summit collapsed. Khrushchev faced sharp blame while the West urged unity to deter Soviet pressure and avert a renewed cold war. Democrats in Washington urged Eisenhower to press Khrushchev to delay talks until after elections.

A light plane crash near Circleville, Ohio, left four businessmen uninjured after a takeoff from Harmon and Schelb Airport. The men Roger Qualls Ralph Dunway Larry Nolan all from Olive Hill Kentucky and William Cashion from Huntington West Virginia walked away as the aircraft lost power and clipped a home porch, while Florence Metzger 62 suffered shock inside.
Official Weather Bureau summary notes a cold front moving east through Ohio Tuesday with showers and scattered thunderstorms mainly in the eastern counties. Rain was light, and early temperatures were cooler than Tuesday morning with Toledo 49, Cleveland 50, Columbus 56.

He recently left the hospital and may not finish the school year at Central School where he is a seventh grader. He is known to Daily News readers as a former carrier boy. A bouquet of flowers will be sent by the Lions Club.
In Cleveland Pennsylvanian minister Rev Ernest T Campbell of York delivered remarks at Public Hall on Monday during a two day evangelism conference preceding the 172nd General Assembly of the United Presbyterian Church. He urged clarity of purpose and warned against church instability from administrative focus over theological substance.
Dudley C. Sharp U S Air Force secretary promises modern gear to boost Philippine and Nationalist Chinese air power during a three day Asia tour. Filipino airmen may receive air to air Sidewinder missiles and possibly all weather interceptors while Chiang Kai shek's Formosa air force is promised new F104 jets to replace obsolete F86 Sabres.
Harold MacSwain of the Michigan Department of Conservation in Lansing was named president of the Midwestern Parks Association. Don Sheldon, chief engineer of Ohio's Division of Parks, was elected secretary treasurer at the association's annual conference at Lake Hope State Park.
The Logan Chieftains seek a repeat as Mingo Relays champions on their home field. Circleville Athens and St. Aloysius challenge LHS with star sprinters and hurdlers leading stacked lineups. Field events start at 6 pm, running at 7 pm with admissions set at 25 cents for students and 50 cents for adults.
The Hocking County Republican Central Committee meets at 6 30 p m in Blosser's dining room to elect officers and fill eight precinct committeeman vacancies created by a light candidate field in the May 3 primary. The Democratic Executive Committee plans its own organization meeting at 6 30 p m on Thursday May 26 in Brandt's Mecca Room after rescheduling from the original tomorrow date.
Service Director Ed Rutgers reports the city owns a used four ton roller bought from Gledhill Road Equipment Co. for about 600 dollars. The roller will condition alloys and hard surface treat blacktop patches, replacing prior hired work.
Service Director HKiltgers reports grading and oiling of alleys began in the West End on Tuesday to keep dust down this summer. He says repainting parking lines and cross walks will start this week if the weather stays dry.

Kennedy wins Maryland with a record primary haul, moving toward the 761 needed for the Democratic nomination. Morse trails as Oregon votes loom, with Kennedy seeking to stay ahead of Symington and Johnson. Humprey remains on the ballot but out of contention. Morse and Kennedy clash again in Oregon Friday for 17 votes.

He warned of intensified efforts to push Western powers from West Berlin and said Washington’s assurances on spying would not bind future presidents. Khrushchev praised Notre Dame during a surprise Paris visit.
