Deputy Waldron reported a truck auto crash on Route 33 two miles west of Logan. The eastbound truck driven by Jerome D. Saul, 25, Columbus, Attempted to pass Roy Nelson Shull, 24, Logan Route 2. Five people escaped injury including Shull's wife, child and mother. Both vehicles were slightly damaged.

Diphtheria Anti-Toxin Administered to Four
Four additional persons received preventive diphtheria treatment after an eight month old infant contracted the disease. Health officials said total treatments reach twenty two, with eighteen given by a Logan physician. The victim is Robert Lee Bownes, son of Desmer and Mrs. Bownes of 807 Third Street, taken to Children's Hospital in Columbus for observation.
