Ohio state education officials recommend no further action by the State Board in the Holmes County Amish school case. The two Amish schools did not meet minimum standards, and Holmes County must place children in other schools. A hearing and appeal rights cited by the attorney general are noted. In Athens Ohio a 12 year old Clyde Bradley of Nelsonville drowned in an abandoned strip mine bed while five boys waded in the water filled pit Sheriff Harold Shields said the accident occurred Thursday night his 10 year old brother Tom was rescued by the other boys.

Missing Minnesota Family Finds Safety in Nevada
A debt-ridden family of seven from Silver Lake Minnesota traced to Reno Nevada after four months vanished. Nelsonville Man Admits School Theft

Eastern Ohio Potters End 27 Day Walkout

Soviet A Power Ship Engines Test Out OK
