Carter Begins 42 Hour Newcastle Visit in England

President Carter arrives in Newcastle for a 42 hour visit to the industrial city and George Washingtons ancestral home. Prime Minister Callaghan and his wife greet him as about 1000 well wishers line the streets. The coal and shipbuilding center is described as a backbone of industrial England.
