Soviet space scientist A A Blagomravov told an international meeting that the USSR will launch additional manned space flights before year end and debut its first meteorological satellite. He said a series of artificial earth satellite launches would occur in 1962 with medical and biological studies planned for the next manned flight.
In Milwaukee the Marshall & Ilsley Bank, a major downtown lender, bought a new automobile and soon received a form letter signed by the auto maker's president. The letter addressed the couple as Mr. and Mrs. Bank and thanked them for purchasing a 1962 model.
