Two Boys Die Crossing Railroad Trestle Near Wakefield

WAVERLY Ohio AP Two young boys were killed Tuesday while trying to outrun a Norfolk and Western train on a railroad trestle near Wakefield. A third boy escaped by leaping into Big Run Creek as the train approached. Pike County sheriff's office said they were fishing from the trestle when the northbound train neared.

Vietnamese assault hits district capital southwest of Da Nang

North Vietnamese troops entered South Vietnam via the Ho Chi Minh Trail and burned a district capital southwest of Da Nang.
