Mrs Louise Huffman of 397 Friesner Ave is named this week’s Logan Lions Cheer Club member. She is in ill health at Hocking Valley Hospital and cared for by her daughter Charlene Harbarger. Friends are asked to send cards and letters. the Lions will send flowers.

The Bureau of Unemployment Compensation reports 25 812 new claims for the week ending March 25 down from 25 911 the prior week. Continuing claims also fell from 220 511 to 220 000.
President Kennedy unveils a $2 billion housing bill featuring 40 year FHA improvement loans up to 10 000 per family with 6 percent rate for 2 year terms and a 5 percent 40 year mortgage option for moderate income families. The plan aims to curb urban blight by financing upgrades and expanding urban renewal and elderly housing.
