FBI enters search for Langley Collyer 61 described by police as missing since last Thursday as investigators comb through his junk filled Fifth Avenue home. Langley’s brother Homer 65, once with him in Harlem, was found dead of a heart attack in the house last Friday. Police doubt Langley remains alive in the home and suspect he may have found another hiding place.

CINCINNATI March 27 Settlement of the week old school strike at North College Hill hit another snag when the two factions on a 10 man arbitration board cancelled a meeting amid mutual accusations of violating confidences. Mediator Howard Wirtz said public remarks were forbidden but a newspaper published a story about the earlier meeting. He noted the parties cancelled last night’s session and no new date was set.
William Edward Daily, 89, who shot himself yesterday at his home near Washington Court House, died today in Mount Carmel Hospital.

A dramatic blaze at the 80 year old Franklin Boulevard Methodist Church in Cleveland last night killed a fire captain and badly injured a fireman. Strong winds drove the fire and a rear wall collapse trapped rescuers while about 40 church executives dining in the basement escaped unharmed. Officials believe the organ loft on the second floor sparked the fire.
Washington March 27 A House backed bill cutting income taxes by almost 4.6 billion would go to the Senate for revision. Taft signals July 1 effective date if changed. Democrats warn of a possible Truman veto and the measure’s heavy wartime profits relief claim.
Henry Azbell 91 dies at his Lancaster home Wednesday evening native of Hocking County. He thrived as a threshing rig operator for 51 years and was known as an old time fiddler. Survived by seven sons and five daughters, 35 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. Services at Mills Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church at 2 PM Saturday. Burial in Fairview Cemetery near Rockbridge by J. V. Halteman.
Small fire broke out in the woolen mill of Ohio Penitentiary in Columbus today but was quickly controlled with no serious damage or injury. Officials said the blaze started from rags on a steam pipe.
The Army Air Forces B 36, a 20 million dollar experimental bomber, made an emergency landing at Fort Worth Air Field after damage to its night landing gear. Test pilots B A Erickson and Gus Green guided the 139 ton aircraft to a safe stop despite a gear failure and 12 of 14 crewmen parachuting from the craft earlier. Six injuries were reported from the landing, with radio contact maintained throughout.
