Woman and two men convicted of first degree murder
In Newark Ohio a woman and two men were found guilty of first degree murder in the death of Edwin Hart. The jury, by a mercy recommendation, spared them the death penalty. The defendants Mrs. Maxine Dermer Sullivan Clarence Dermer and Albert Hefley face life terms. They were tried by a 12 member jury and the verdict was delivered at 4 55 PM. The beating occurred January 13 in front of a Newark case. Judge Charles B Holtzberry scheduled sentencing for Saturday morning.
