The Logan City Board of Education releases survey results guiding the hunt for a new superintendent. A Logan Daily News report notes 102 responses and 56 applications for the post, with screening set to begin April 4 or 5 as of August 1 vacancy.

Emile Cardinal Biayenda archbishop of Brazzaville was kidnapped and murdered by three men Tuesday night according to the Congolese government. The ruling party statement gave no killer details while Vatican officials expressed profound consternation. Biayenda was the last official to visit President Ngouabi before the president's assassination last Friday. He was 50 and born in Mpangala near Brazzaville.
President Carter is preparing to announce a tentative list of as many as 32 water projects facing cancellation.
