Talks to End Soft Coal Walkout Stir Uproar in Washington

After tiring of the job the gunman had the owner serve four customers for free, then the pair fled with 300 dollars after about half an hour in the store.

Death of Mrs Nancy Newton at daughter’s home

Mrs Nancy Newton aged 77 widow of B O Newton was found dead in bed Friday morning at her daughter Mrs Har ley Amerine’s home 582 West Front Street where she had been visiting for a week. She lived near McArthur and is survived by four other daughters Mrs W H McDaniel Mrs Alva Brown Mrs Fred Ward and Mrs George Lavender a sister and two brothers. Student faces manslaughter charge in Bowling Green

James Singler a 21 year old Bowling Green College student from Sandusky is charged with manslaughter in the fatal shooting of 18 year old Charles Wenzler of Central City Centerbury. Patrolman Wayne Canfield filed the charges last night and lie detector tests showed Singler did not know the pistol was loaded. Singler waived preliminary hearing and was bound over to the Wood County grand jury with a $3000 bond.

Gas Dilution Suit Appeal Upheld In Ohio Case

The second district court of appeals ordered a $42 million gas dilution suit against Columbia Gas and six subsidiaries sent back to common pleas court. John L. Storm toll rises as church steeple collapse kills two children

A violent storm extending to Cleveland and Cincinnati caused four deaths in Ohio. Gerald Kill, 10, and Norbert Bonifas, 12, of Landeck, perished when the St. John’s Catholic Church steeple toppled into the altar. Edwin Drerup of Ottawa hid in a barn that was collapsed, and Walter Reed, 60, of Urbana, died when a high tension line fell.
