Fire at Fernald plant leaves two men in critical condition
Cincinnati dispatch reports a flash fire at the Fernald atomic plant injuring Byron Stephens 21 of Moores Hill Indiana and Bert Dwenger 45 of Batesville Indiana who are hospitalized in critical condition. Five other workers suffered less serious burns. Plant manager Clarence L. Karl said no fissionable material was involved.
