Enterprise Woman Killed in Auto Truck Crash
Mrs. Gertrude Bickel 74 of Enterprise died instantly when a southbound car driven by Karl Schmitter collided head on with a northbound granite truck on U.S. Rt. 33 near Enterprise. Schmitter was injured with a skull fracture and head wound. he was listed as fair at Hocking Valley Hospital. The Jones and Clendenon family occupants were treated for shock. the road was blocked for over an hour. Mrs. Bickel’s body was taken from the wreckage and she will be buried at Oak Grove Cemetery after funeral services Thursday.
