Fire hits Parsons Hall at Marietta College in early morning blaze
A fire partially destroyed Parsons Hall on the Marietta College campus in Ohio at about 5:30 AM. The flames threatened four nearby buildings housing student families and a sorority house. no injuries were reported. Firefighters from Marietta and Williamstown assisted, keeping the blaze within the hall. The cause was not immediately known.

Native of Hocking County she lived much of life in Mt Pleasant community. Only immediate survivor is her brother. Husband died in 1935.

Alleged Slayer Claims Insanity at Murder Trial
Dwight David Tudor faces a first degree murder trial in Springfield for the October 3 killing of 14 year old Mary Ann Page. Defense witnesses testified Tudor was insane or of unsound mind, including Dr. Herbert Parison of the Veterans Administration and Tudor's former wife Geneva Miller. The state plans to call Dr. R. L. Judge Obligates Thief for Criminal Education
