Nelsonville Man ID’d in Hocking River Drowning
The body of John H. Wright, 30, of Nelsonville, was recovered from the Hocking River about 1.5 miles downstream from where his car plunged into the river on January 1. Coroner Dr. Robert Butts ruled accidental drowning. Wright, born May 21, 1946, was a U.S. Army veteran and truck driver, survived by his wife Kay Riley Wright and several children and stepchildren. Funeral set for Sunday at Johnson Funeral Home in Nelsonville.
