In Memoriam Fred Hemrick 19 Killed After Crash
Fred Hemrick aged 19 of Logan Route 4 died at 3:45 a.m. at Lockbourne Air Force Base hospital from injuries after a 12:35 a.m. crash on Route 78 one quarter mile north of Murray City. Hemrick, a service member, was a passenger in a car driven by Jerry Snider 23 of Gore Route 1. Also injured were Hershel Snider 18 and Jerry Snider, who faced drunken driving and license charges in Athens County Court. Snider case continued to March 14. Additional survivors include two brothers William and John L. and three sisters Elma Queen, Dorothy Maffin, and Ann Rollins. Arrangements by Leonard Funeral Home incomplete.
