In Cleveland on March 3 AP reports coroner records the murder of beauty operator Laura Cooke by her married suitor Edward Gruneske who then killed himself after a four year romance. Gruneske fired three shots, first hitting Cooke as customers witnessed the tragedy. He killed himself in a hospital after the line of fire.

Davey Orders Dismissal Of State Highway Engineer Sparks
