Sudanese Agree To Fly Arabs Hostages To US
Beirut reports the Sudanese government agreed to provide a plane to fly Arab guerrillas and their hostages from Khartoum to the United States. The Black September group demanded two Sudanese cabinet members accompany them, a condition refused. The embassy siege left ambassador Noel wounded and hostages in store while explosives were found planted.

Hocking County Adopts New Speed Limits on Old Route 33S
Hocking Commissioners approved speed limit changes on Old Rt. 33S from Logan to Rt. 595 with 45 mph on sections to Industrial Park and 35 mph on the drive-in to Rt. 595. The bridge over Monday Creek opened, and Mara reported 220 miles of county roads and 413 miles of township roads. They set bids for razing the James Building and bought an $8100 radial stacker funded by revenue sharing.

First EMS Vehicles Arrive in Athens Monday Ceremonies Planned
The Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Service will receive its first ambulances at Page Chevrolet in Athens Monday morning with a public inspection at 11 30 a m and a WOUB TV taping to follow. Dan Lloyd says the vehicles leave Dallas this afternoon and Governor Gilligan may visit Children's Hospital in Columbus before an Athens appearance.

Logan Native Dies From Crash Injuries in Ohio and West Virginia
Michael Staley 23 of Chauncey died at St Joseph Hospital Parkersburg from severe head injuries from a Feb 17 auto crash near Dow Lake Athens. Born in Logan, son of Clarence and Elsie Staley, he was a 1967 Chauncey High School graduate and attended Hocking Technical College. Survived by his parents and daughter Kristine Lynn of Athens. Services Sunday 1 pm at Johnson Funeral Home Nelsonville, burial Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Saturday. casket will be closed.
