Nelsonville Area Fatality: Debra Maffin Run Over by Truck
Debra Kay Maffin, 5, of Nelsonville Rt. 1, was killed when she ran from behind a bridge abutment into a southbound tractor trailer on Rt. 691 near Nelsonville at 1 15 p m. The driver Ralph Walter Wiggins, 34, was not charged. Funeral services set for Friday at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Debra survived by parents William and Dorothy and several siblings. Court notices and other local incidents follow including a minor collision on Zanesville Ave and a separate rear-end collision at Mulberry and Front Streets. A 36-year-old man from Laurelville Star Atman remains in critical condition after a high speed one car crash on Circleville Taliton Rd in Pickaway County.

Sargents Construction Co. Waverly low on bridges and buildings 288000. Robinson Electric McArthur low on electrical 49000. A second phase will add a dining lodge 25 vacation cabins and a total of 75 cabins. A third phase expands the campground. Completion date for phase one is July 1 1970. Also 253000 was released for the first phase of a beach and marina complex at Fairfield Beach Buckeye Lake.
