Nelsonville Police Nab Four Motorists For Drunken Driving
Nelsonville police arrested four drivers for drunken driving over the weekend and investigated an auto accident on Sylvania Ave. Ray Warehime, 64, jailed after his car hit property near Milky's service station. fined 150 dollars and three days in jail. Other suspects and bonds included Joseph Wagner, Glenn Bickel, Lester Miller, and James Nelson with various court actions.

Judge Vaughn Collins fined four motorists on June 3 and June 1. Gary F. Bookman 20 Buchtel was tried in absentia and fined 35 dollars. Clyde D. Shelton 32 of 460 East Main Street paid 10 dollars. Virgil L. Woodson 24 was tried in absentia and fined 10 dollars. Barbara A. Steward 30 of Columbus pleaded not guilty then guilty with 10 dollar fine and costs, suspended.

Minor Auto Mishap Near Mound Crossing Investigated
Deputies investigated a minor two-vehicle collision on Clapper Hollow Road 100 feet north of Route 180 near Mound Crossing at 7 30 p m Sunday. Cars driven by Gilbert F Butterbaugh 31 Ashville Route 1 and Glen L Wilson 45 Laurelville Route 1 collided nearly head on on a curved narrow road with high grass. no charges were filed.

Mayor Freeman Fines 2 Drivers
Delmar Freeman fined two drivers on Saturday for traffic violations. Virgil L. Woltz of Lancaster, 42, paid ten dollars and costs after pleading guilty to failure to stop within an assured clear distance following an accident on W. Main St. on June 7. Janet Wolfe Sickles of Nelsonville, 20, paid ten dollars and costs after pleading guilty to the same offense in an accident on E. Main St. on June 2.
