Joseph T. Fitzgerald, 54, assistant superintendent of transportation for the C and O Railroad, died Friday at his Columbus home. A 30 year company employee, he was chief clerk to the late E. B. Torrey and was promoted to superintendent in 1930 after the Hocking Valley and C and O mergers.

Wreckage of fatal bus crash near Stephenville kills five
A head on collision near Stephenville Texas between a cattle truck and a chartered bus carrying 24 members of Eddie Martinez orchestra left five dead, six severely injured and twelve with minor injuries.
