Logan Trade Center earns a strong rating in Sales Management's national Survey of Buying Power. Local retailers closed the year with 16.56 million dollars in sales, up from 15.36 million, while net income rose to 13.001 million dollars. Logan's sales index stands at 197, 97 percent above the national average, driven by increased local earnings and cross-city shopping.
Columbia Gas of Ohio Inc announced natural gas rate cuts affecting 241 communities in Ohio. The reductions range from one half to three and a half cents per thousand cubic feet, with Frazersburg seeing a three and a half cent drop and Alliance a three cent cut.
