Alaska Oil Reaches End Of Pipeline In 38 Percent Days
In Valdez Alaska the first flow of North Slope crude ended a 38 day 12 hour 56 minute marathon along the trans Alaska pipeline. Alyeska Pipeline Service Co President William Darch praised the project while noting a sabotage attempt and prior explosions that marked the maiden run. Oil moved to storage tanks at a billion dollar facility and ARCO Juneau will transport it to the west coast.
