Wales council revises police department structure and pay
The Wales City Council approved adding a captain and two lieutenants to the police force while removing three patrolman posts. Civil service exams will fill the new ranks, with captain and lieutenant salaries set by ordinance. The chief will earn 525 monthly. patrolmen 345.33 to 413.39. The change takes effect August 1 and follows prior training updates at the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification.
