Akron Ohio July 24 three people narrowly escaped a 50 foot plunge when the Akron Canton and Youngstown railroad bridge collapsed under their automobile. Driver George Stehler 21 and Kitty Gander 20 of Akron along with Frank Niskey 19 of Cuyahoga Falls told police officer O O Stevens that the asphalt of the bridge gave way as they crossed the span.
In Sandusky Ohio on July 24 an AP report notes V. J. Bote investigated a confession related to Joseph Faby and his wife near Bellevue. The fragmentary text references an inquiry into the confession and the involved parties.
