Washington July 18 The three member board appointed by President Truman will hold public hearings in New York July 28 to study the steel wage and pension disputes. Arthur Goldberg says data exists to proceed. The schedule includes an earlier meeting with steel and CIO United Steelworkers representatives. The strike is postponed to September 14.

Last of Moundsville fugitives captured
Eddie Starcher, 23, the final escapee from the Moundsville West Virginia State Penitentiary break of June 3, surrendered without resistance at a Medina County farm near Sharon Center. Detective Captain John Struzenski and Akron police escorted him into custody around noon. Starcher, serving a 10 year grand larceny sentence, was among 14 convicts who fled.
