The century old Thornport canal warehouse in Perry County will be torn down and replaced by a modern log cabin for Hayes Moore and family of Logan. The warehouse once stored grain salt groceries and acted as a boat dock on the canal. Timbers will be reused in the new cabin and the Moores plan to preserve canal era relics within. Completion is hoped for late fall.
