Lightning Strikes Oak Near Logan Farm Injuring Tree
John Dougherty reports a freak bolt hit a small jack oak along Old Town creek near U S Route 33 south of Logan last Thursday night. The bolt peeled bark to a depth of an inch and shredded fiber, while nearby larger trees remained unharmed. A group of Hocking County residents later toured the New York World's Fair via telephone exhibits, hearing voices from America and testing voice samples before returning home via Bernardsville, New Jersey.

Two Women Plunge From Baltimore Drawbridge
