The case involves Dr Samuel H Sheppard serving life in Ohio for the crime.

James M. Cox longtime Ohio governor and publisher, dies at 87 in Dayton after years of ill health. Survived by wife Margaretta, two sons James Jr and John, daughters Barbara Glover and Anne Chambers, five grandchildren. Burial is private at Woodland Cemetery with a public memorial at Christ Episcopal Church.
