The five year levy would cost seven cents per $100 of property value to pay debts since opening. Trustees hope renewal will not be needed after five years.

Athens teen given indeterminate term for shooting incident
Richard Smith, 17, was sentenced in Athens County Juvenile Court to an indeterminate term at Mansfield Youth Center after pleading guilty to one count of shooting with intent to wound. Four people were shot in the legs in a family feud incident. Smith surrendered hours after the shooting.

Splash Party Set July 23 At City Pool
The city recreation department announces a splash party at the Logan swimming pool from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday July 23. Activities include swimming and dancing with a concession stand.
