Ohio lawmakers moved toward final adjournment of a ten month special session. A revised permanent relief bill would come to the senate for a vote tonight and, if approved, to the house for concurrence with amendments.
Col Henry Breckinridge a Democratic New Deal critic and Roosevelt primaries candidate joined the Republican camp declaring for Landon Knox. He dined with Gov Alf Landon and announced he would vote for Landon and Knox after a two hour meeting. Landon outlined campaign plans for his running mate selection following the Cleveland convention.
In Brownsville Pennsylvania on July 15 an aunt and uncle found Donald McBeth 15 hanging from a garage raf ter. Deputy coroner A W Kisinger ruled the death a suicide likely driven by illness and aggravated by recent events.

Eugene Delay of Columbus was treated at Cherrington Hospital for a badly gashed right hand after his car crashed into the tailgate of a large truck parked on Main Street opposite Allen's Grocery. Police sought the truck which vanished after the collision.
