Murray City Man Killed In One Car Crash On Rt 216
A 42 year old Murray City man Ray Nixon died when the car driven by Pearl Mitchell left Rt 216 near Murray City and rolled onto its top. Nixon was thrown into a creek and died instantly from a broken neck. Mitchell was injured and remained inside the car as investigators from Hocking County worked the scene. Nixon was the area’s fifth traffic fatality of the year and the second death on Rt 216 near Murray City in a week. Funeral plans were announced for Nixon with services at Johnson Funeral Home Nelsonville.
