Miss Josephine Lowrie and Miss Marguerite Kellerman, Marion Township, accepted one of three master shepherd awards at Ohio State University during Sheep Day. Their 45 ewes, including Corriedale and Corriedale Merino crosses, produced 130.8 lbs lamb per ewe with 92 lb lambs on average and total per-ewe returns of 33.20 dollars. They follow an eight point program and have history in cattle and pigs before moving to sheep farming.
